Narrative At 10pm on 20 July 1900, Jimmy Governor and Jacky Underwood, slaughtered 7 members of the Mawbey family and the governess, at the Mawbey homestead at Breelong in reprisal for racist insults they made to Jimmy's wife and for non-payment of splitting wood for fencing.
