Accessible Language Dictionaries

There are many 'Mixtec' or Ñuu Dzaui languages (pronounced differently in different languages), part of a group linguists call Oto-Manguean languages. The codex Yuta Tnoho is most closely situated in regions where 'Northeastern Alta Mixtec' is now spoken. Nearby languages are the other Alta Mixtec languages.

Not all dictionaries and word lists people have made are accessible. This is a list of the ones I've been able to find, closest to the region of interest in North West Oaxaca.

Western Alta Mixtec: Farris, Kathryn Beaty de 2004 Diccionario básico del mixteco de Yosondúa, Oaxaca. 2a éd., versión electrónica http://www.mexico.sil.org/es/resources/archives/51560

Pequeño Diccionario Ilustrado: Mixteco de Santa Lucía Monteverde 2a Instituto Lingüístico de Verano, A.C. 2a éd., versión electrónica https://www.sil.org/system/files/reapdata/46/02/66/46026629056744382005448221144369261630/L330c_DiccIlust_Leer_mdv.pdf

There are also some apps for mobile phones for learning some basics of languages:

Other language resources, some difficult to find are recorded at these sites: http://www.language-archives.org/language/mip http://glottolog.org/resource/languoid/id/apas1235
