Dear Charles,

I think I can let you have a story called Burrs, about choir boys if you like to have it. It will be published as part of a volume called Langley Adventures about Christmas but you will have the start

Yours truly
C M Yonge

1Envelope addressed to ‘The Revd/ C Moor/Grimsby/ Lincolnshire’ and postmarked Winchester 1 October 1883. Charles Moor (b. 1857/8) was the son of the Rev. John Frewen Moor, and was perhaps running a parish magazine.
