The article is signed 'F. B.'. It was evidently sent to CMY by one of the sisters of Francis Brandt (1839/40-1925), the assistant collector on whose letters it is based. His three sisters were Margaret Sophia Brandt (1831/2-1892), Emily Charlotte Brandt (1834/5-1926) and Margaret [sic] Adelaide Brandt (1845/6-1904). No doubt the additional text was composed by one of them, but it is not possible to say which.
