An article signed 'H', 'Blindness its Trials and Blessings' MP (July 1861) 91-99, described several blind people, including a homeless, friendless orphan girl, and for the next few months acknowledgments of donations for the 'Blind Girl' appear frequently in the magazine. The letter to Miss Holbecke implies she was the author.
