Friendly Work later the Girls' Quarterly (periodical)

Description

This was a quarterly magazine published by the Girls' Friendly Society 1883-1917. It changed its name to the Girls' Quarterly in December 1894. It was edited initially by Mary Elizabeth Townsend, from 1893 by Louisa Fanny Field and from 1900 by Henley I. Arden (i.e. Henrietta Knight). It was aimed at Members of GFS who were better educated than those who read the sister periodical Friendly Leaves.
