This periodical, which ran under this name 1888-1954, was aimed at the working-class members of the Mothers’ Union, as distinct from the educated readers of Mothers in Council. It changed its name to Home and Family in 1954 and in 2008 to Families First and currently (2010) is also published online:

The first editor was Madalene Sabine (Pasley) Jenkyns (1847/8-1935).
