A Gosling as ‘Ugly Duckling’ c. 1865-before 1869, she was living at Kings Teignton Vicarage, Milton Abbot, Devon, in the family of the vicar the Rev. John Hawkins Hext; whose eldest son Rear Admiral Sir John Hext (1842-1924) married her in 1874. [LG 1906, 1881 census]
