Biography
She was a Gosling as ‘Firefly’ and lived at 4 Belmont, Brighton (a cul de sac off Dyke Road); she was probably daughter of Edward Peters who ran a 'Boarding School for young gentlemen' at that address. In the 1861 census the Gosling Paulina Martyn was living in Dawlish with her grandmother Sophia (Badcock) Coleridge and the latter's niece Sophia Peters, so possibly Jessie Peters was also a relation of some sort.
