She was a boarder at Elderfield during 1871 census, and invited to the servants’ Christmas party at Hursley Park in 1867. [PO Hants 1867; 1871 census]She was probably the mistress whose nose was put out of joint by the reforms to the school instituted by the Rev. W. F. Elgie. She appears to have married (1873), James Bowden, a printer's manager.
