Biography
Daughter of the Rev. Henry Stebbing, her marriage (24 July 1860) to the Rev. Robert Braithwaite Batty, elder son of the late Lieut-Col Robert Batty, Grenadier Guards, was announced in The Times (26 July 1860). She appears to have been sister-in-law to Johanna Batty. According to her obituary The Times (2 May 1933) her husband went as a missionary to India and died almost immediately. Some autobiographical and other MSS of hers are in the Bodleian Library, Oxford.
