Biography
He married, secondly, Eliza Charlotte Alexander (d. 25 Nov 1882) He was ambassador to Constantinople 1825-9 and 1841-58. He was created a viscount in 1852. He was uncle to Emma (Barnett) Butler and first cousin once removed to Rev. W. J. Butler [Complete Peerage; A.J. Butler]
