Biography
He was nephew of Lady Elinor (Ashburnham) Wodehouse, who was a neighbour. It was probably not he, but one of his sisters who was the A. Swinburne who wrote to MP in 1870 in response to an article about their Austrian cousins. His mother Lady Jane (Ashburnham) Swinburne appears in MP subscription lists, and his cousin Mary (Gordon) Leith was a contributor.
