Biography
Daughter of Thomas Arnold (1823-1900) school inspector and teacher, she was the granddaughter of Dr. Arnold of Rugby; she married (1872) Thomas Humphry Ward. She became a Gosling as ‘Windermere’ in 1869; she was evidently a friend of Theodora Clarke.
