The Miss Warren and Gundred referred to by CMY in 1900 were possibly Louisa Warren and her sister Gundred (b. Shropshire 1822/3) who appear in the 1891 census living at Market Drayton, but not in any earlier one, though a Georgiana Gundred Warren (birth registered Market Drayton 1839) appears with oddly varying dates of birth in the census returns.Unusual as Gundred is as a name, it was that of the wife (d.1085), of William de Warenne (d.1088), and therefore seems to have been chosen by people named Warren unexpectedly often.
