Her works are often commended by CMY in 'Hints on Reading'. She was a keen amateur geologist who bequeathed her collections to the British Museum. [obituary The Times (28 February 1907) 10; others in science journals]She is therefore unlikely to be the Miss Birley lending CMY Salverte's book on names in 1864, when she would have been rather young.
