Biography
She was the eldest daughter of the Rev. William Barter, Rector of Burghclere, and niece of the Rev. Robert Speckott Barter (1790-1861), Warden of Winchester College. She married (28 October 1846), as his second wife, the Rev. Charles Wordsworth. She is not to be confused with her cousin Kate Barter, or the latter’s sister-in-law, Kitty (Moberly) Barter.
