Biography
The Gentleman’s Magazine (1806) 760 records the death of the widow of Dr. Bogue, of Fareham, eldest daughter of Richard Bargus of Fareham. If she was the Mary Bargus christened at Fareham in 1746 she was the child of Richard Bargus’s first wife Frances Eyer, and thus probably a full sister of CMY's maternal grandfather the Rev. Thomas Bargus. She was probably married at Fareham in 1775, though the IGI transcribes her husband’s name as Bogrie. The Rev. John Richard Bogue, whom CMY describes as her cousin, was probably her grandson.
