Biography
An article signed 'H', 'Blindness its Trials and Blessings' MP (July 1861) 91-99, described several blind people, including a homeless, friendless orphan girl, and for the next few months acknowledgments of donations for the 'Blind Girl' appear frequently in the magazine. The letter to Miss Holbeche implies she was the author. The identity of Helen Holbeche of Sutton Coldfield with this Miss Holbeche is confirmed by God is love, or, Memorials of Little Nony(London: Nisbet 1883) 84.
