Biography
She was a Gosling to 1863, but her alias is unknown. Daughter of Captain Edmund Buckle (1808-1846), Indian army officer and historian, and Anne Nicolls, she lived at 9 New Ormond St, Queens Square, London. Her father's aunt Anne married Col Stanhope Badcock and was great-grandmother of fellow-gosling Paulina Martyn. [LG 1952 Buckle, 1861 census]
