Biography
The Stephen Lovelock to whom CMY refers as looking after the Elgees' pony was no doubt the Steven Lovelock who was born in Mary Anne Dyson's village of Dogmersfield, and was listed there in 1871 as the son of a farm labourer. Probably CMY had got him the job at Dyson's request.
