Biography
She was author of fiction 1876-95, some of her publications are with her sister Beatrice May Butt (b. London 1853). She was probably a Gosling as ‘Staddacombe’ as CMY wrote (May 24th 1875) to Christabel Coleridge supposing so. She married (1878) John Campbell Robertson Glasgow (1844-1913) and was the author of further works as Geraldine Robertson-Glasgow. In the 1871 census she was living in Staffordshire with Beatrice and several other sisters and their mother Geraldine May Butt (Quebec 1831-1898). Her father was Lt.-Col. Thomas Bromhead Butt. She was probably the Geraldine Glasgow who contributed to MP (1897). [LG 1952]
