He married first (1831) Elizabeth Tucker, and, secondly (1841), Ellen Sophia Patteson. He was the son of the Rev. Edward Coleridge (1760/1-1843), Vicar of Buckerell, brother of the poet. He was therefore not related to CMY. [Alumni Oxonienses]
