Biography
He lived at the Post Office, Otterbourne, with his wife Martha Andrews, the postmistress, and their children George (b. 1839/40), Charles (b.1840/1), Elizabeth (b. 1844/5), and Anne (b. 1846/7). After Martha's death he married a younger woman named Emma, who also acted as postmistress of Otterbourne, and had at least one daughter, Frances (b. 1876), who qualified as a teacher and was the mistress of Otterbourne School.
