CMY’s correspondent has evidently answered a Puzzled Mother in MP in 1896. Of the three answers printed in Mothers in Council 6 (January 1897) the one which most accords with CMY’s comment is signed ‘Isolda’, and the letter was probably addressed to the Hon. Isolda Caroline Vereker (1852/3-1927), daughter of the 4th Viscount Gort and wife of Sir Charles Craufurd 4th Bt. (1847-1939), R.N..
