Description

contributor to MP (1872)

Biography

CMY’s bank account records the payment of £5 to Miss E. Gee on 10 April 1873, the only one to a person of this name. A story ‘What the Church Eagle Said’ appeared in MP (December 1872) 4. Evelyn Gee (b. Herts. 1843/4), daughter of the Rev. Richard Gee, Vicar of Abbots Langley and later of Windsor, who married (1880) Richard Rivington Holmes, librarian at Windsor Castle, seems a plausible candidate. He has an entry in ODNB, which states that she survived him.
