She married (1878) James Edward Henry Gordon, electrical engineer (1852-1893) [His ODNB entry says her surname is unknown, but the 1881 census has Gordon at 32 Elvaston Place Kensington with wife Alice M and his father-in-law Joseph E F Brandreth, rtd ICS, magistrate. Gordon’s mother was named Brandreth; perhaps they were cousins]
