Biography
He married (1861) Fanny Crawley (d. 1865); three of their four children died in 1871. He married secondly (20 Jan 1876), Katharine Frances Dalton, and had four more children. He was a canon of Rochester in 1880 and of St. Albans in 1878, master of the Charterhouse in 1907. He was son of R. W. Jelf, principal of KCL 1844-69 and a friend of Keble and Pusey.
