Biography
Eldest son of Charles Alexander Johns, he was educated at Rugby and Oriel College, Oxford, and taught at Winton House until after his father’s death, later at other schools. In 1886 married Mary Emily Chalk who ran a school for girls at Lydney which they moved to Hendon.
