Biography
This may be the school at Chantry near Frome attended by the novelist Ellen Mathers, and described by her in Comin' Thro' the Rye (1875). What was also perhaps the same school appears on the Frome Selwood 1841 census as an asylum kept by Julia Field, who was the mother of Ellen Julia (Field) Johns.
