Dear Madam,
I am almost certain to be free any day next week, and shall be glad to see your brother any time from 11 till 5 that he may mention. The only chance is I may be called to Oxford one day next week & do not in the least know which day. So if your brother would kind[ly] name one, with another as an alternative, I will let him know the moment I learn in case the one he [illegible] should be the one on which I am to be away

I am, dear Madam,
Very respectfully yours
Alex. Macmillan
