Dear Madam,
I have read the papers you enclosed with much interest but I am afraid that I can hardly make them available at the present time.1 They are written so much in the style of the former generation that they would hardly suit this one, excepting the Rivers, and that is too much of a fragment. With many thanks therefore I return them

yours faithfully
C M Yonge

1CMY judges them unsuitable for MP.
