MS Princeton University, Parrish Collection, CO171: Box 29

My dear Anne
Mrs Keble has just returned me this, it had no end to it and I hope it ought not. How very interesting it is and how heart stirring Miss Arthur’s letter, which I am sending to Mrs T Keble.1 Our Nets are not come yet. I forgot to tell you of Miss Parkes’ Vignettes to order. I think you would find much to interest you

Your most affectionate
C M Yonge

1The enclosure was no doubt some comment on the recent death of John Keble and his wife, about which CMY had been corresponding with his sister-in-law Elizabeth Jane Keble (Mrs Thomas Keble). Anne Mackenzie edited a missionary magazine called The Net, and Mary Arthur, a missionary in South Africa, was probably one of her correspondents.
