Dear Mrs. Craik,
Your note and enclosure have followed me to the home where I am staying a few days (in spite of the address on my paper). Many thanks for it.

I read with much interest the account of the Little Sisters in the Magazine.1 It is curious how they make their way with all kinds of people, even at Plymouth, the last place where I should have expected them to thrive.2

Yours sincerely
C M Yonge

1'Good Catholics, being the history of "Les Petites Soeurs des Pauvres"' by Henriette de Witt appeared in the January 1868 issue of Macmillan's Magazine.
2No doubt because of Plymouth's strong Nonconformist tradition and the opposition which had met Lydia Sellon’s attempts to establish a sisterhood there.
