My dear Mrs Curteis
I send the gains of Mrs Twitch and of the bits of correspondence.1 St Canace’s Jackdaw is in type waiting till he can get in, and I think the Story of a Dream will probably be in before Alec as it is so much shorter and I think it is very good

Yours sincerely
C M Yonge

1Black-edged paper.
2'Mrs. Twitch' was a story, signed R. L. C., published in MP (June 1869) 606-12, which gave rise to a query answered in (October 1869) 415. Two later stories, also about Mrs Twitch and presumably by the same author, were 'Pin-Baskets' (June 1875) 639-646, and 'True and Just in All My Dealings' (September 1881) 300-3. 'St. Canace's Jackdaw' was a poem, published in MP (August 1869) 140-1. The other stories mentioned have not been traced.
