1Since CMY would hardly have to particularize that next year meant 1875 if writing in 1874, and the end of December would be too late to get a story into the following January's issue of MP, it seems likely that this was written in 1873. No story by Weber appeared in January 1875, but the one referred to here might be 'I Wonder Why', published in November 1874.
