My dear Miss Freeman

The first week in May will suit me very well and I hope we shall be at our best between banksia roses and nightingales. I am afraid however that I really have only room for one and that I must not have the pleasure of having your sister though I am very sorry to be so inhospitable, but when you see our household you will understand. I have a friend coming to me on Wednesday or Saturday, I am not sure which, but she means to stay a week, so on Saturday week I shall be quite ready, or any time after that suits you. Miss Walter (it has no S) is mending with the Spring, but has not been out of her room since November, I hope she will soon.

yours very sincerely
C M Yonge
