My dear Miss Yonge:
I will do what you wish as far as I am able at Wakefield but I am very sorry you cannot be there in person.

It will be a great disappointment to many.

If by any possibility you find yourself able to come to the Ch Congress I feel sure you will give great pleasure to the presiding Bishop and the Committee: and that the local authorities will do their best in application to provide suitable hospitality for you.

Yours very truly,
W Emery

Miss Yonge

1The Rev. William Emery (1825–1910), founder of diocesan conferences.
