Dear Miss Durton

Your Good Friday has been a long time on its way, owing to the misdirection, but I have it now, and I wish I could have got it into the Monthly Packet for Easter, though even if it had come direct it would not have been in time for April.

I am very glad to hear more of Ottavia’s family and will insert this when I can.1 Perhaps another time you had better write direct to me. My paper is so thick that I will only put in this one half sheet

Yours truly
C M Yonge

1Both 'Ottavia' MP 3s 14 (July 1887), 87-96, and 'A Good Friday Procession at Grassina' MP 3s 19 (April 1890) 371-6, appeared under the name 'E.Vere'. They purport to be real life accounts of Italian peasantry, and the author perhaps lived in Italy.
