MS Charlotte Mitchell/22

Dear Madam

Lady Hunter’s letters are very amusing, and I am much obliged for them, but this kind of article does not well suit with a serial, and I must therefore return them1

yours truly
C M Yonge

1Probably CMY had been offered for MP the letters published in The Journal of General Sir Martin Hunter and some letters of his wife Lady Hunter put together by their daughter Miss A. Hunter and Miss Bell (1894). Sir Martin Hunter (1757–1846), served during the American War of Independence and in Canada and India; he married (1797) Jean Dickson (d.1845) and had a large family.
