Henry’s old uncle, a Canon of Chichester has left him £10001

1The death of the Rev. Francis Alfred Bowles, Rector of Singleton, Prebendary of Chichester, was reported in the Morning Post (30 October 1894). His nephew the Rev. Henry Bowles, vicar of Otterbourne, was married to CMY's niece Alethea, who was entertaining her mother and sister for Christmas.
