Dear Mr Humbert,
I have just received a note from Lady Susanna Blunt asking me the day and time of the opening of St Cross, and whether tickets will be necessary for admission to the services. Being unable to be present I had unfortunately destroyed the notice you were so good as to send me, and thus I cannot answer her questions. Would you therefore be kind enough to send one of the papers to her husband –

the Revd Colvin Blunt

And you will much oblige
Yours faithfully
C M Yonge

1The reopening of St. Cross Hospital after its restoration took place on 19 October 1865; see the Hampshire Advertiser (21 October 1865) 4.
