Narrative Following the killing of at least three Aboriginal people at Umbercollie station by squatter James Mark and four other men on 10 June 1848 in retaliation for the killing of his son, a detachment of native polcie from Warialda arrived a few weeks later and shot a further 12 Aboriginal people.
