My dear Mr Craik,

I shall be staying at the Palace at Salisbury1  from Monday till Thursday of Easter Week, Could I meet you there and go round the Cathedral with you –Said Cathedral is in a state of restoration from the mischief that Wyatt did it and so not in present perfection2 – I make another visit3 afterwards and do not come home till Saturday, so unless I can meet you at Salisbury I am afraid I shall miss you, which I should be very sorry to do –

Sunshiny east(?) which is at least more becoming than snow storms, and the primroses banks are not at all the worse for it

Yours sincerely

CM Yonge
