MS Girton College Cambridge, Yonge IV 21

Dear Mr Innes,
Miss Gaye wants to have her M S back that she may know what to do with it.

I believe you know Miss Cheape’s address, if she is not at St Andrews, would you get a proof of Christian sent to her – I sent up two chapters, but I think I can only put one in.

Miss Tanner. I think you had better send to the care of

Mrs Sidney Lear
the Close Salisbury

I do not know who wrote Tokens

I suppose I told you that the Grey Woman, in the Christmas number is by Miss Benson the Archbishop’s daughter1

Yours truly
C M Yonge

1‘The Grey Woman’ is a harrowing tale signed ‘A.E.D.’, which appeared in the MP Christmas number (1889). Two letters in the Bodleian Library to Margaret Benson suggest she was a contributor, though neither seems to refer to this story directly.
